The call receive window of Campana AXIS has now integrated what3words. what3words has divided the world into 3 metre squares and given each square a unique three word identifier, a 3 word address.
It’s an easy way for members to communicate their precise location in an incident, ensuring help is sent exactly where it is needed.
Finding the exact location of an incident is crucial but not always easy. With what3words, you can find a caller’s exact incident location accurately and quickly.
Using the what3words app on their device, members can obtain the 3 word address for their location and share that with the call receiver. The call receiver can then enter the 3 word address at the Location prompt. ERS uses the what3words API to convert the 3 word address into a latitude/longitude, which will appear on the Google map.
If a member does not have the what3words app and are struggling to communicate their location, a button is available in Call Receive to email the what3words Findme link to the member.
