Optimize is an AI driven route optimisation software. Brought to you by The Algorithm People, who are experts in optimising ultra-low emission and electric vehicles (EVs). Optimize helps fleets to become more efficient by using algorithms to increase vehicle utilisation, reduce costs and cut emissions. Optimize has integrated what3words to further assist with more efficient route planning and last mile navigation. By turning on the what3words integration within Optimize, your business can benefit from efficient routes, even more precise deliveries, and improved customer communication.

To use what3words, you’ll first need to accept what3words addresses from customers who are booking the jobs. This can be done by adding a what3words field to your checkout, CRM, ERP etc. To do so you can use one of our existing plugins or the what3words API. Optimize & what3words Integration Setup Guide

Step 1

Sign up for a what3words developer account

1. Go to our plan page and select a plan. You will need to select Basic or higher for this integration.
2. Login or signup for a what3words developer account.
3. Specify the name of your business and “Optimize**”** in the Project Name.
4. Select Generate API Key.

N.B. If you already have a what3words account, simply create an additional API Key with the Application Name “Optimize”

Step 2

Connect what3words to Optimize

Once you have generated your API key, reach out to your account manager or [email protected]. They will be able to connect your what3words and Optimize account together.

We will then connect your what3words and MaxOptra account together. Once set up, the what3words square on your home page will no longer be greyed out

How to use what3words within Optimize

There are a couple of different ways to pass what3words addresses into Optimize.

Option 1: Flat file/CSV upload

If you import your orders from a third party system, you can import manually via a CSV/flat file. You can do this using a predefined template or with a custom template.

Option 2: API

If you use the API to automatically import, you can also pass through what3words addresses here.

Once you have successfully imported your jobs, with the what3words addresses, these what3words addresses will be geocoded to the associated Latitude and Longitude and plotted onto the map. From here you can select “Optimize” as usual and proceed with routing, knowing that you’re benefiting from more accurate end point destinations.

🗣️ Announce the Integration

Once you have enabled the what3words integration, use the imagery and copy on our Communications Hub to announce the partnership and educate your customers on the benefits of using what3words.
