Pall-Ex accepts what3words addresses from clients for which means the shipper can capture what3words addresses from their customers and send it to Pall-Ex in the shipping data.

This works for API consignments and consignments via booking platform.

what3words is available in Pall-Ex API. Please contact Pall-Ex IT Helpdesk for access.

2. Using what3words via Pall-Ex Consignment Booking Platform ****

what3words is available as an optional field in booking platform.

To pass on a what3words address to Pall-Ex, you also need to be capturing these from customers as part of the order process - typically at checkout or in their customer profiles. 3. Using via Carrier Management Software ****

what3words is also enabled through a variety of third party software. Please reach out to your respective account manager if you want to know more.

4. How to collect and pass on what3words addresses from your end-customers

In order to pass on what3words addresses to Pall-Ex, clients need to capture what3words addresses from their customers, in the same way you capture and store traditional address information.

If you are an eCommerce retailer - you can integrate what3words onto your online eCommerce website, which is as simple as adding an optional address capture field on checkout/account pages. If you use a CRM/WMS/ERP - you can also capture the what3words address in a variety of software, such as CRMs and ERPs, or build your own integration. More information is available here: https://developer.what3words.com/public-api

Once you have started capturing what3words from customers, this information will be automatically passed on to DPD via the EDI/API when you have updated your integration.
