Texty by INdigital is a platform that allows the PSAP to ‘add on’ non-voice (SMS) to an existing phase II E9-1-1 call. It provides text TO & FROM 9-1-1 services. Texty provides language translation for the 911 caller. 108 languages are automatically recognised and translated into English for the 911 center call taker to respond to.

The what3words integration converts the callers location into a 3 word address for onward communication as well as accepting a 3 word address if texted in from a caller.

Converting the callers location into a 3 word address:

• As Texty has a Automatic Location Identifier often the texters location is automatically generated so a 3 word address can help with onward communication and interoperability.

Caller texting a 3 word address and location being displayed:

• The caller can also text through a 3 word address in the format word.word.word and Texty will automatically recognise this as a 3 word address and display it on the map.
