BJS accepts your end customers’ what3words addresses for accurate deliveries.

If you are a BJS client or technology partner, ****you can offer your end customers the ability to provide their what3words address for accurate and precise deliveries.

BJS’ what3words integration is in place across four products, its tracking portal, electronic proof of delivery platform and its order management system. Retailers can also add a what3words address to the order on ‘create’ via its APIs.

<aside> ⚠️ To collect what3words addresses from your customers, you’ll first need to add a what3words address field to your checkout page or CRM. To do so you can use one of our existing plugins or the what3words API. You can take a look at these options and find out more information here.

Using what3words in BJS via API ****

what3words is available with BJS’ API. The API documentation can be found here.

To use what3words, you need to be collecting what3words addresses from your end-customers. More information on setting this up can be found below in the section: Collecting what3words addresses from end-customers - integration setup guide

BJS clients should then reach out to their BJS Account Manager to let them know they are using the what3words functionality.

Using BJS via an Order or Carrier Management Software

what3words is also enabled through a variety of Order Management and Carrier Management Softwares. Please reach out to your respective account manager if you want to know more.

You can see a list of technology partners here and request a software integration here if it’s not already listed.

Collecting what3words addresses from end-customers - integration setup guide

In order to pass on what3words addresses to BJS, clients need to capture what3words addresses from their customers, in the same way you capture and store traditional address information.

  1. If you are an eCommerce retailer - you can integrate what3words onto your online eCommerce website which is as simple as adding an optional address capture field on checkout/account pages. We have all the developer documentations available for this on our website: https://what3words.com/business/ecommerce
  2. If you are a B2B customer - you can integrate what3words into a variety of software systems, such as CRMs and ERPs, or build your own integration. More information is available here: https://developer.what3words.com/public-api

Once you have integrated what3words on your platforms, this information will be automatically passed on to BJS via the flat-file transfer process.
